1. What Information We Collect
We collect only what is strictly necessary to identify you, coordinate event logistics, and evaluate your hackathon proposal. This includes:
- Your contact info: Full name, student email, 10-digit mobile number, and city/state.
- Academic affiliation: College or university name, department, and current year of study.
- Your project submission: Problem title, real-world context, thematic track, and proposed AI solution.
No Government IDs: We never collect Aadhaar numbers, PAN cards, or passport numbers.
2. How Your Data is Used
Your information is accessible solely to authorized evaluators, faculty mentors, and hackathon organizing committee members. We use it to:
- Review and score your proposal against the pre-screening rubric for the Final Round on October 15–16, 2026.
- Notify you regarding your review stage and final shortlist announcements.
- Prepare attendance passes and workshop access credentials for the Grand Finale in Nagpur.
We never sell, rent, or trade student data with third-party marketers or commercial vendors.
3. Fair Inclusivity & Selection Process
The hackathon operates under a strict student-first inclusivity commitment:
- Nobody is disqualified during registration for branch of study (non-IT students are welcome).
- Nobody is rejected if their college is not yet included in the directory.
- You can participate with an idea only—no finished code, prototype, or GitHub repository is required.
* Important Note: Registration does not guarantee selection for the final round. Up to ~200 projects will be shortlisted for the final hackathon based on merit and evaluation scores.
4. Intellectual Property
You and your team retain 100% full ownership of your intellectual property, ideas, and prototypes. Participation in the hackathon does not grant any ownership rights to the organizers or sponsors.
5. Optional Publicity Consent
Photo and publicity consent is strictly separate and optional. If granted, photographs of your team presenting at the finale may be included in the annual Nirmaan CoE report and official press releases. You may revoke this at any time by notifying the committee.
